Furniture by Simon Hasan for Vauxhall Collective
London designer Simon Hasan has created a collection of furniture and vases inspired by traditional British crafts. The collection includes three vases, two stools and a cabinet. Hasan made the oak stools by splitting timber along the grain and using the natural shape of the wood. Each stool is upholstered in tweed with a leather apron. A carbon steel cabinet is strapped onto a frame made of cleaved timber using the same method. The collection was commissioned for the Vauxhall Collective and was inspired by Hasan’s visits to UK industrial and craft centres as part of the scheme.
